While summer never seems to last long enough, even here in the Towne Lake and Woodstock, Georgia area, there are still plenty of fun things to fit in before fall arrives. Of course there’s always golfing at the Towne Lake Hills Golf Course or the Eagle Watch Golf Club and who could resist a few more dips in your Towne Lake neighborhood pool or Lake Allatoona?

August 19 Art on the Green – Woodstock Art Market

This free event in downtown Woodstock will be held that Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and includes food, music, arts and crafts. It’s put on by the Elm Street Cultural Arts Village. For complete details, visit Elm Street’s site.

August 12 - Gump Fiction: The Ultimate 90s Experience - Woodstock Amphitheater 7:30 - 10 p.m.

Sept. 9 Runaway June - The group will perform that evening from 7:30 to 10 p.m. a the Woodstock Amphitheater in downtown Woodstock.

 This free event is the last in the 2017 Woodstock Summer Concert Series


August 4 - Friday Night Live in Woodstock - Super Hero Night 

For Friday night live Reformation Brewery is taking two dollars off their tours if you are wearing a superhero costume.


August 12 - Cherokee Pie Day at Woodstock Farm Fresh Market


 

August 26 - Fancy Nance 5K-9 

This is a fast, flat 5k run/walk with a few quick hills.  This will be  an untimed, relaxed, and fun event! All participants will receive a  T-shirt.  Participants are welcome to bring their dogs for the run/walk,  also! Wheel chairs and push-walkers welcome. There will be a Raffle for  registrants with many prizes donated by local restaurants and  businesses!  Free parking and restrooms are available. All proceeds will  go to the Cure PSP Foundation in honor of Nance Wolter, who recently  lost her battle to the PSP brain disease.  More info here.


Sept. 23 & 24 - 33rd Annual Riverfest Arts and Crafts Festival

This event is a big draw every year and takes place at Boling Park in Canton. It’s put on by the Service League of Cherokee County, whose mission for the last 80 years is to serve the children of Cherokee County. A $5/person donation is suggested and parking is free. September 11 -  LMK Foundation Annual Charity Golf Tournament - BridgeMill 

9th  Annual LMK Foundation - Driving for Dementia - Golf Tournament on  September 11, 2017.  Registration starting at 7:30,  shotgun start at 9  am.  Providing funds to enable the caregivers a "respite" is the main  mission of the LMK Foundation.

This  will take place at the BridgeMill Athletic Club in the BridgeMill  community in Canton. The 18-hole championship golf course sits on 250  pristine acres.
