Composed of Kindergarten through Fourth grade, Bascomb was built in August 1995 and has been named a Georgia School of Excellence many times. Grades 1 through 3 are self-contained. In the higher grades teachers have the option of working in teams of two and teaching in their area of expertise or maintaining a more traditional styled classroom.

In the fall of 1999, Chapman Elementary School was renamed "Carmel Elementary School". In February 2000 the entire student body, faculty and staff moved to a new building. Carmel has been a front-runner in implementing innovative teaching techniques and programs, such as whole language (integrated language arts), interdisciplinary units, inclusion, intact family, and assertive discipline management. Kleven Boston Elementary, commonly called Boston Elementary, was named in honor of former Cherokee County Superintendent of Schools, Kleven Boston. Currently Boston Elementary serves grades K-4 and includes two pre-school special needs classes. Boston Elementary received the Bronze Award for the "Highest Percentage of Students Meeting and Exceeding Standards" from the Governor's Office of Student Achievement. In 1935, Oak Grove Elementary School was completed in its present location. The doors opened with approximately 100 students and four teachers. Oak Grove Elementary is an accredited K-4 public school. It is located in a rapidly growing suburban area of Atlanta. An increase in population over the next five years is anticipated, due to new subdivisions being built on former agricultural land. Chapman Intermediate School serves students in Grades 5 and 6 in the southwestern portion of the Cherokee County School District. All students who attend Oak Grove Elementary School, Boston Elementary School and Bascomb Elementary School are in this school zone when they reach fifth grade. Freedom Middle School opened on August 1, 2005, as the newest public middle school in Cherokee County. Freedom Middle School is comprised of grades 6-8. Freedom draws its students from Liberty Elementary School and Sixes Elementary School. Freedom’s eighth grade students transition to Woodstock High School and Cherokee High School. Students at Freedom Middle School learn in a standards-driven, student-centered environment. Along with the core curriculum, students are offered Connections classes that facilitate career exploration, foster appreciation of “the arts,” and provide additional instructional support in the areas of Reading and Math.

Home of the Etowah Eagles! Experience the many facets of Etowah's foundation. An array of extracurricular programs have been created to enhance the education of today's young adults. Woodstock High School and Woodstock Middle School opened for the 1996-97 school year. The 400,000 square-foot building can accommodate 3,000 students. The school campus covers 100 acres. The middle school and the high school each have their own library, gymnasium and cafeteria. The schools share the kitchen and auditorium. The school facility was one of the largest in the country and the largest in the Southeast in its opening school year. Everyone offers free school reports. We do too! Plus we offer more.
