Located on the far North West side of Towne Lake, the back of Wyngate exits on to Bells Ferry Road. There are 857 homes in Wyngate/Towne Lake built between 1989 and 2002. Wyngate is subdivided into seven sections; Rosebury, Somerset, Fox Glen, Camden, Hawthorne, Deer Creek, and Southport. Wyngate has a mandatory homeowners association. 

The Homeowners Association dues currently are $500 per year. The dues provide for the upkeep of Wyngate Parkway, each entrance, the common areas and amenities. Many of the homes in Wyngate back up to the Corp of Engineer property of Lake Allatoona and are within walking distance to the lake.  Wyngate also offers nature trails and Little River Marina is just  couple of minutes away.

After attending Bascomb Elementary, children in Wyngate attend E.T. Booth Middle School and Etowah High School.
