The Arbors at Towne Lake is located near the middle of Towne Lake and has 371 homes built between 1984-1992. It is a great location for commuting to all the great shopping, schools and area amenities. The library is located nearby, and so are several grocery stores. The Arbors is a very small and tight knit community.The community newsletter supports a neighborhood watch program along with its own Arborswatch website. Like most of the area communities; the Arbors has a strong Homeowners Association. The neighborhood amenities include a swimming pool, tennis courts and an attractive playground.
Children living in the Arbors in grades K-4 go to Bascomb Elementary School, a Georgia School of Excellence. Students then attend ET Booth Middle School and Etowah High School.
The Arbors in Towne Lake is located just a few miles from Downtown Woodstock which offers unique shops, restaurants and entertainment venues with Madlife offering live concerts and a new amphitheater. The Outlet Shoppes of Atlanta are also nearby.
Lake Allatoona is just around the corner and a favorite spot for Towne Lake residents. It covers more than 12,000 acres and has 270 miles of shoreline. The lake and much of the land that surrounds it are managed by the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers.
Hobgood Park is another Towne Lake favorite. Hobgood Park is the largest recreational public park in Cherokee County and offers 4 lighted championship softball fields, concession, score stand, restrooms, lighted playground, 4 lighted tennis courts, 1/2 mile jogging – walking trails, 2 pavilions with grills, picnic area, fitness courts, and 6 youth baseball – softball fields.
